P1/2 Back in School!

Everyone in P1/2 has been delighted to be back in school this week.

We have spent lots of time playing laying both in our classroom and in the glorious spring sunshine.

The children have adapted brilliantly and are all thrilled to be reunited with their friends and teachers.

Lucy’s Winning Chinese New Year Poster

Congratulations to Lucy in P5/6 who won the Confucius Institute for Scotland’s School Chinese New Year Poster contest a few weeks ago.

Well Done Lucy!

(also thanks to Mrs Lockey for spotting that I’d only put this on teams not the website. Sorry it’s a bit late! Mr Bennett)

He writes “I won 1st place out of 50 people, the awards that I got were: a trophy with my name engraved on it and a £25 cash award.”

Snow Photographers

Before the February break Mr Bennett posted some holiday fun ideas.

One of these was that if it snowed we would accept pictures of the snow taken by the children and share them here.

Ethan in P6/5 and Harmeher in P2 both rose tho the challenge with the great pictures below.

Harmeher’s nest

Harmeher found a nest from last year in the bushes and also showed us a view of the Pentlands.

Ethans Snowglobe

Ethan has taken some really great photos of ice and snow.

His icy sphere and use of perspective is really cool.

Well done Harmeher and Ethan.
