Outdoor Numeracy

The P1 children have been exploring number formation and creating number lines in our front playground. They’ve enjoyed decorating the walls and perfecting their numeral formation. The children have also been looking at ways of counting on and back and setting challenges for each other.

P4/5’s Final Forest Schoolday

P4/5 had a fun final forest school day at Corstorphine.

We did a halloween spider’s web challenge and then crafted our own flying broomsticks!

We also looked back over our forest time and how the forest changed. See the below sway link.

P6 Bikeability Photos

P6 had great fun at Bikeability training! They worked so hard and we are very proud of their achievements. The children showed great determination and resilience.

They learned how to check if their bike is ready for a journey, set off, slow down and stop, glide and share space.

Great job Primary 6 and happy cycling!

P3 Scottish Banquet

After weeks of learning about what life was like in the time of Castles, P3 planned and prepared for a traditional Scottish Banquet this week.

We made invitations for our peers, created menus for the tables, decided on what tradition Scottish foods we could have and decorated our classroom as a traditional banquet hall. We also had great fun dressing up as knights and Lords and Ladies with accessories to match.

The children practised performances in small groups to perform at the banquet and the whole class learned a tradition Scottish dance with Mrs Ewen which they performed beautifully.

It was a fantastic ending to our first fantastic topic in P3!
