More Trips to Water of Leith Vistor Centre
The Blue, Purple and Green groups had a wonderful morning at the Centre learning about nature, weather and the seasonal changes of Autumn. We searched for mini-beasts in the soil and under rocks and logs, and made lovely rubbings of leaves that we found along the path.
The Centre is a wonderful riverside setting right here in Edinburgh, on the 44 bus route and would make a great family outing at the weekend too – enjoy!http://www.waterofleith.org.uk/centre/

Nursery Bramble Picking
PICKING BRAMBLES
We had a lovely walk along the old railway picking brambles. We brought them back to nursery and will use them for our snack!
The old railway is just off Russell Road. ‘Brambles’ are the Scottish name berries that in some other parts of the UK are called blackberries.

P7 Robotics with Robotical
Some of our P7 coders had a fun time learning about robots by doing a teardown on Marty, with our friends from Robotical.
Next week the challenge will be to put them back together!
P3 Learn Butter Down Pat
We all got a good work out when we tried to make butter last week. Our first attempt with single cream failed but we tried again with double cream and were delighted with the results!
The children shook cream in a bottle, after a while we noticed that the sound it made and texture had changed. When we opened the bottle we discovered that we had made butter and buttermilk.
