Scottish Opera Performance
Well done to all our amazing P5, 6 and & 7 perormers who joined Scottish Opera in a performance of Terracotta Warriors last week.
We were so proud of their hard work and its results.

Nursery Play on Pedals
PLAY ON PEDALS !
We began our Play on Pedals lessons learning to ride Balance Bikes with our pre-school children.
We learned the names of the different parts of a bike – wheel, saddle, handlebars and break. We practiced how to put on our helmets so that we can keep our heads safe. Then we learned how to use the breaks, geet on the bikes and to glide along using ‘bunny feet’ which means using our two feet at the same time to push along and then stop using our break.
We will continue our lessons on a regular basis.
P3a Ausome Austailia Topic Work
Here are some pictures of P3a’s Australia topic.
The children made clay creatures form the Great Barrier Reef, clown fish, dolphins, blue ringed octopus and surgeonfish. They also created sunset silhouette pictures with Australian wildlife.

Show Me The Honey!
The wonderful world of beekeeping is being explored like never before in a fantastic new CBBC series for kids and their families. Four families from across the UK will become first-time beekeepers, exploring the incredible world of bees and finding out about their wider local environment, alongside trying to produce some delicious honey! The beekeeping action will be focused on the children taking part but they’ll be supported by their parents or guardians, and any siblings will get to appear too if they wish. Each family will receive their own bees, a hive and all the relevant safety equipment. They’ll also receive training from experts on how to look after the bees. Everyone’s a winner in this eco-friendly, warm competition but there will be a winning family who will be crowned the honey-making champions at the end of the series.
We are currently casting for families to take part across the whole of the UK. Families can be of any shape or size but must include at least one child aged 9-14 and have ample space to keep the bees.
We are working with bee experts to make sure the bees welfare is not compromised during the process of the competition and that they thrive in their new homes.

Dalry Golden Eagles Competitive Debut
Dalry’s Basketball team, coached with support of West End Warriors, made their debut this week along with and against Canal View and Pentland’s teams.
They played and handled themselves admirably and received wide praise from coaches and teachers at the matches.
The results were won 1 lost 1, so very competitive stuff.
