The parent council have also asked us to ask if any parents can help by becoming an admin on the groups for some of these languages.
If the Polish, Arabic and Urdu parent could let the Parent Council know that they can do this admin role for the WhatsApp via the Parent Council Facebook messenger it would be much appreciated.

The Parent Council have worked to set up whatsapp groups in different languages to support us through the school closure period. Parents will be able to access support from one another using the groups to help with the understanding of pupil home learning and to support one another.

Good morning.
We have heard about the announcement overnight of the continued schooling provision for key workers.
You will appreciate that this decision was taken at 2am and so the details have yet to be worked out by Edinburgh Council.
Please bear with us this morning while we wait to tell you how the provision will work for our Dalry families. Check back to parentpay, the website, local media and the Edinburgh Council website for information when we have it.
In the meantime we are planning to make this morning a fun and special one for all children who are in to help ease the transition.
Following the announcement of potential school closures we have been working as a team to prepare for home learning. Please find attached letter with information. If your child attended school today they will have been sent home with a home learning pack.
If your child is absent from school and you are not self-isolating you may collect your pack from the school office.
Please read the letter linked below with information on the packs. This letter was written earlier today before the official confirmation of school closure. Apologies that we have not had time to edit it to reflect the changing situation.

Our Violin teacher Ms Moran
Just sharing a huge success from last night. P7 violin, viola and cello players have been rehearsing very hard for the past 4 Friday afternoons for the Edinburgh Primary Seven School Orchestra (EPSSO) and last night performed to a sold out Queens Hall.
The violinists involved from Dalry were Meda and Sofia
The performers had such a fab night I just thought deserved some recognition for their hard work. Spoke to lots of proud parents too.
Another successful puppet making masterclass recently wrapped up. Well done all puppet makers.
P3a had a drama workshop recently.
Afterwards they made little puppets of the characters and recreated the stories. The children used their ideas from their drama workshop with Mrs Gallagher to help them to think of all the noises that kept daddy bear awake in the story Peace at Last.
As a result of the latest guidelines for COVID-19 our parents’ evening tonight has been cancelled as announced by email yesterday. You will hopefully already have had that news via parent mail.
