Amber Watch visit our Nursery

We recently had a fantastic visit from Tollcross fire station’s Amber Watch and they even brought their appliance.

The children loved meeting the firefighters and dressing up in their uniforms, sitting in the appliance and having a turn of the hose.

Guide to Children’s Rights

The Scottish Governement has shared the below message with us.

——-

We are delighted to announce the launch of the new Guide to Children’s Rights for Parents, Carers and family members.

This much anticipated resource provides information about children’s rights and introduces the United Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). The UNCRC is the internationally mandated children’s rights treaty which sets out the rights that all children and young people should expect and what they need to grow up happy, healthy and safe. It outlines the central role played by parents and families and also recognises that they need protection and assistance to support the rights and wellbeing of their children.

The booklet was created by the UNCRC Parents Network, made up of parenting organisations and Scottish Government policy officials, who have been meeting for over a year to look at how best to inform parents, carers and family members about the rights of their children. It conveys broad universal messaging about children’s rights and has adopted a warm and reassuring tone.

Cinema Trip 2022

We were so glad to be able to take our annual Christmastime cinematic pilgrimage last Friday, for the first time since 2019.

Some of our P7s worked hard to get the snacks packed.

We all headed out to Cineworld to enjoy Sing 2 together and there was much foot tapping to the big musical numbers.

Thank you to all who made it possible to do this again!
