P7 Treated the School to a fantastic assembly of Chinese folk tales and songs and we even had a visit from a dragon this week.
Well done to all of P7 and their adult helpers.
P7 were back at the zoo this week for a Confucius talk and to see Pandas.
They had a great time.
Some of our P7s went on an after dark trip last Friday to see the chinese lanterns exhibit at the zoo.
They had a great time and saw some amazing sights.
Here are some ideas for kids activities around town during the holidays.

If you fancy a museum or learning day trip there are some great options

Have fun in the holiday!

Dalry Swim Centre has re-opened after a refurbishment.
Our local swimming pool provides lots of extra curricular lessons for kids (see their website for details) but they also provide our swimming lessons which will be back up and running shortly.
We enjoyed a Burns meal of ‘haggis, neeps and tatties’, had a ceilidh with our friends in Primary 6 and Miss Curran and Liz the librarian from Fountainbridge Library came to read us Scottish stories and sing Scottish Song. We had a ‘braw’ time!
P6 went to a ceilidh with the nursery on Burns day at St.Martins. All the kids had a fantastic time and really enjoyed helping the little ones.
On Monday we had our brilliant annual visit from folk duo The Sorries in celebration of Scots Week. This was arranged in conjunction with Soundstep workshops who also provided a bodhran drumming workshop for P7 and P3/4.
Thank you to The Sorries, Soundstep Workshops and to all of our student performers.
They led us all in traditional folk songs and were ably supported by singers from some of our classes.
We finished with a great whole school rendition of Auld Lang Syne
