Nursery Trips To Fountainbridge Library
The Green and Yellow Group enjoyed a trip to Fountainbridge Library on Tuesday 12th November for stories, songs and snack. There we met with the RVS and some older people they bring to the library every fortnight. We all made bookmarks and exchanged them with each other. Thank you to the parents who came with us and made this a very enjoyable experience.
Free Tickets to The Women’s Scottish Cup Final At Tynecastle
The SSE Scottish Women’s Cup is coming to Edinburgh on Sunday 24th of November. The final is between Glasgow City and Hibernian at Tynecastle Park for a 16:10 KO.
Active Schools and the event organisers, Scottish Women’s Football (SWF), are offering free tickets to all schools within Edinburgh. Under 12’s go free already, so this a great chance for parents, guardians, and other family members to also come along at no cost.
Later today we will be sending out an email via parentmail with a special code you will be able to use on the website https://scotwomensfootball.com/about/the-sse-scottish-womens-cup/free-tickets/.
SWF has also created unique player cards to showcase some of the star players involved in the event. These will hopefully further inspire our children and be a nice collectable to promote the women’s game. These will be passed out in due course.

Remembrance Day
Gorgie City Farm Closure
As you may have heard a wonderful local institution, Gorgie City Farm, has collapsed into liquidation over the weekend.
Over the years it has been a vital part of the fabric of our local area and we would like, as a school, to express our sadness at the loss to Dalry, Gorgie and Edinburgh.
Dalry Primary School and Dalry Nursery were regular visitors at this great free attraction and will miss it keenly.
We would also like to express our thanks, gratitude and kindest wishes to the great staff who have kept this resource running so long and been of such support to not just our school but so many vulnerable people in our wider community.

P6 Space Trip to Dynamic Earth
Today P6 took advantage of Dalry’s golden ticket and went to Dynamic Earth to further our learning about space. We took a tour around Dynamic Earth, including exploring geology, the artic and the beginnings of the earth. We took part in a workshop and designed robots with Lego which could be sent to a moon of another planet or to explore Mars. To finish off we went to the show dome and watched a film all about moon exploration in the past and what the future of space exploration holds.
