P3b Halloween
Last month P3a enjoyed Halloween activities in class before the school Halloween party.
Chess Team Achivement
The Lothian Junior Congress Chess Tournament took place over the weekend and there was more fabulous success for team Dalry.
Our team won second place!! The initial ranking for our team was 8th position, but they finished 2nd after 6 rounds of play.

Nursery Trips to Fountainbridge Library.
The Red and Orange Group enjoyed a trip to Fountainbridge Library on Tuesday 19th November for stories, songs, creative mark making and snack. There we met children and staff from our neighbours at Tynecastle nursery and had snack together.
Joining the library is free and you can join on line. 1000’s of books are available – including books for adults and children in other languages.
Thank you to the parents, and grandmother too, who came with us and made this a very enjoyable experience.
P2a Symmetry
Primary 2 have been exploring symmetry in a variety of ways over the past few weeks. We have used iPads to find symmetrical objects around the school building, created symmetrical butterfly finger paintings and even finished pictures ourselves to ensure they are symmetrical.

Winter Weather
Winter was most definitely upon us last week.
Can we take this opportunity to remind parents and to remind children to dress appropriately for the wet and cold conditions over the next few months.
Remember to wear coats and jumpers. Also please try to wear appropriate footwear if possible, along with scarves gloves, and hats as appropriate.
And please remember to wear them at playtime and take them home afterwards as, while we try to find all lost property, sometimes a piece can go unspotted for a few days and end up a bit chilly….
P7 Stem Trip to Edinburgh College
P7 have been focusing on STEM topics this term and have had a fantastic trip to Edinburgh College to consolidate our learning about Forces and different types of Engineering and an opportunity for them to ask lots of STEM questions to the experts!
The whole class were really engaged in all the activities and did a fabulous job of representing our school!
Diwali Fun
Our parents and families recently put together our yearly Diwali spectacular festival of dance.
Thanks to all who danced and choreographed, organised and helped.
Also thank you to Sainsburys Murrayfield for the south asian snacks they supplied.
P6 Library Buddies
Primary 6 have been joining Miss Low’s P1 class in the library and reading to them once they have chosen their books.
