Nursery Big Christmas Trip

The nursery children, parents and staff visited St Andrew’s and St George’s Church, George Street on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th December.
There we saw over 40 decorated Christmas Trees, watched a brief version of the nativity story with soft puppet characters and sang Christmas songs. We had snack too.  Before we returned to nursery on the bus we visited the Christmas Market in Princes Street Gardens.  Thank you to all the parents who came with us and made this trip possible!

Nursery Christmas Trip To Fountainbridge Library

We enjoyed a really special CHRISTMAS SING-SONG AND STORY TELLING EVENT with the wonderful staff at Fountainbridge Library during the first week of December.

We also made our very own ‘Christmas Trees’ and had a tasty snack.

Thank you to all the parents who joined us and made this trip possible!

Fountainbridge Library, on Dundee Terrace, is a great place to visit. They have lots of activities for children and adults alike and you can borrow books in other languages too! If you would like further information, please visit their website.

Cinema Trip Bake Sale

The Parent Council is holding a Bake Sale for pupils on Friday 7 December at 9.00am.

The money raised will be used to provide snacks and drinks for the Cinema Trip.

We would be grateful if you could send in a small amount of money with your child to enable them to purchase some cakes.

All donations of baking appreciated – please send baking in with your child on the day or bring to the waiting area (with the blue chairs). Please list ingredients if possible.

Diwali Dalry Style

Dalry Primary’s early level children and families celebrated Diwali with a wonderful morning full of colourful costumes, dazzling dancing and marvellous music.

Children and parents put on a sensational showcase of talent for the nursery and Primary 1 children, their families, friends and staff.  Afterwards the children enjoyed a variety of Indian foods in their classroom.  Thank you to all the terrifically talented dancers and performers, the parents and staff who helped to rehearse the children and prepare the food, and of course a special thank you to the super school staff Mrs Roy and Mrs Dugal who made such a great effort behind the scenes to coordinate the event.

Dalry Nursery Harvest Celebration

Dalry Nursery Class children, their parents and staff, were welcomed at St Martin’s Church by Yousouf Gooljary, the minister, on Thursday 4th October.

Yousouf told us a story about sharing with others and we sang a song about sharing too!  The children helped to place the donations of packet and tinned food on the alter.

The church will distribute these foods to those in need.  We would all like to thank the generosity of our families who gifted so many items to share with the community.
