The new lunch menus starting after Easter are now available to view here and will soon be up to book on parent pay.
Homemade bread and rainbow red pesto pasta are two of the new options.

Scots Week Second Assembly
We had our second scots week assembly at the end of January and our remaining classes performed their best Scots poetry.
P7 World War 2 Project
Primary 7 have been learning about WWII the last few months. We’ve had a fantastic time learning about key dates and events including Anne Frank, The Blitz, The Battle of Britain and Pearl Harbor to name just a few!
P7 were amazed by the real WWII memorabilia which was kindly brought in by
Ms Kelly.
They enjoyed hearing about the history of all of objects and getting to Pass them around to get a proper look!
To celebrate the end of our learning about this topic we had a VE Day style celebration showcasing some of our work!
We also had a visit from two local celebrities, Margaret and Eileen who lived in Dalry during the war and were evacuated after a bomb strike! The class loved hearing their stories and asking them lots of questions!
P7 International Week
P7 have been learning about China and Poland during International week.
The Tinglan teacher from Edinburgh Zoo came into class to teach us about the history of the panda. Some of the P7 children taught us Polish phrases, read Polish stories and even showed us how to play Polish edition of rock, paper, scissors! Nati also brought in some tasty Polish treats for us to have a nibble on!
International Work
There’s some great work hitting our school boards after international week and Scots week.

INTERNATIONAL WEEK IN THE NURSERY – ONE CLAN, MANY FAMILIES
We enjoyed celebrating International Week in the nursery. To start the week on Monday everyone was invited to wear clothes from their culture and Natalia even wore red and white clothes to represent the flag of Poland!
Keyan, Finn, Xionuan, and Tyler’s mum’s shared stories and songs from India, Australia and China with us and Mr Wong, our Hanen Mandarin teacher, led our ‘group time’ with all the children.
Families also sent us their photographs, which were added to our world map in the hallway, to reflect the diverse and inclusive nature of our nursery and school.
P5/4 A Sight at the Opera
P5/4 have been investigating Chinese Opera masks as part of international week and their Mandarin studies.
Emirati Jabab Tasting for P5/4
P5/4 have learned about the UEA for international week, and that included food.
Ms Shepherd and Mrs Ahmed prepared hummus and flatbread and Jababs with dates and date sauce.
P5/4 Zoo Trip
P5/4 went on a great trip to the zoo before half term.
P2b Find Out About China
Primary 2B have enjoyed finding out about China. We wrote facts files, tasted Chinese food and created art work. We loved learning a Chinese dance and Chinese stories in drama. It was great fun!
