P1B Mini Movers in Health week
During Health week Primary 1B had a fun afternoon doing Mini Movers.
Nursery Swim Sessions
Our morning and afternoon children enjoyed fun swim sessions at Dalry Swim Centre.

Nursery Reading Rainbows
Our pre-school children went to Fountainbridge Library for our Reading Rainbows event.
The children got a bag of books and other items.
One of the books ‘One Mole Digging a Hole’ will be used for our transition activities in the nursery and when we begin Primary 1. We followed a number trail up to the library, listened to the story, did a creative number activity and had snack.

Nursery Butterfly Assembly for the School
We have been learning about the lifecycles of butterflies. As part of our preparation for moving on to Primary 1 we presented an assembly to the whole school about what we learned. Photographs of our work were shown on the Big Screen, we retold the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ using props and sang ‘There’s a Tiny Caterpillar on a Leaf’ and everyone joined in. When we finished everyone gave us a very big clap.

P1a Creativity Week
Just before Easter P1a got creative as part of Dalry Primary’s creativity week.
They learned Musical Theatre dances, bollywood dances and (here with Mr Moreton) how to Cha Cha Cha
They learned about weaving,
and they had fun with henna tattoos.
A great week!
Trip to the art gallery
We all had an amazing time on our trip to the National Gallery as part of our learning experiences during Creativity Week.
Outdoor Fun
We enjoyed our PE lesson outdoors in the lovely Spring sunshine today. Look at our faces as we concentrate on our obstacle course.
Sharing our Learning
P1a and P1b gave a wonderful performance to their families today about Spring time and Mothers Day. The children then invited their parents along to their classes to share their learning about Fairy Lands which the children have absolutely loved!
The Senses
What a busy term it has been. The boys and girls in Primary 1 have been learning about their senses and enjoyed making musical instruments when finding out about sound.
We also carried out some testing to find out about sweet, sour, salty and bitter tastes. Can you tell what taste they are trying here?
