We had a lovely morning at the Gorgie/Dalry Toy Library. We found out how to join the Library which has over 240 toys for families to borrow and the children had a great time playing with some of the toys.
The Toy Library is in St. Martin’s, Dalry Road, just along from the school. It is open every Monday between 10am – 11.30am. There is also a parent and toddler group at St Martin’s at the same time. Everyone is welcome!
P5 are creating marshmallow and spaghetti space rockets as part of our Space topic.
A festival of walking and cycling is coming soon to Harrison Park.
The event takes place on Sunday 30th in the afternoon.
We are starting to have dates for events that will lead into children starting P1 at Dalry in August 2019.

Our open day for prospective new children and their families, starting in summer 2019, will be on October 31st.
Tours of the school will take place between 9.15AM and 2.15PM

Primary 3 have been investigating 2D shapes.
Here they have been learning to recognise, describe and name 2D shapes in the playground, using loose parts materials and their bodies!
P3 are settling in well to there new classroom and routines.
We have started a focus on food and farming and have been finding out about foods grown in Scotland and how they end up on our plates.
We had great fun making jam tarts with either strwberry or raspberyy jam- both fruits that are grown in Scotland.
