P3 had a fantastic trip to the Museum on the Mound last week. We learned lots of things about money including what was used as money 100s of years ago, how to make a bank note secure and we even had the chance to make our very own coin!
Everyone had a wonderful time!
Please see information on a free online Conscious Parenting Workshop running May 25th. The workshop will be hosted by the Mindful Enterprise and will include Dr Shefali, author and clinical psychologist, Jo Aitken Children and Young people’s manager SAMH, Claire Ryan-Heatley, Trauma Specialist and Gary Young Mindfulness teacher and coach.
The workshop will focus on understanding mental health and looking after ourselves, exploring old patterns and consciousness, fostering awareness of recent trauma and its impact on our families, and learning about the role mindfulness can create in developing self-awareness.

We are looking for foster carers who can support children and young people from minority ethnic backgrounds to help them feel safe and cared for and give them a sense of belonging.
Fostering doesn’t always have to be full time. Many of our foster carers who offer short breaks or host family foster care are able to do this whilst continuing to work. Carers also receive full training and support.
Anyone interested in fostering or becoming a host family foster carer can find out more at one of our pop-up events at Asda Chesser over the next few weeks.
The Foster with Edinburgh Team will be there to answer any questions on:
Tuesday 16 May, 11am-2pm
Friday 26 May, 11-2pm
There are also regular information drop-ins at Waverley Ct Courtyard on the first Thursday of the month from 5 – 7pm.

Just before Easter P2/3 did really well to identify different types of materials as part of our science topic, we had a hunt around the playground and school. Malcolm the music teacher visited us on Monday and everyone enjoyed the singing and dancing!
