P7 Camp 2023

Last Week P7 headed off to their Camp!

This year we visited Fordell Firs in Fife for the first time and did some amazing activities accompanied by Mrs Laidler, Mr Devine and Mr Bennett.

We took on caving, climbing, crate climbing, abseiling, a challenge course and archery.

We also took on making our own beds and cleaning our own rooms. Even Mr D!

It was a great camp and we were all really impressed with how some people rose to challenges, conquered fears and phobias and in Mr B’s case fitted into that caving pipe.

We had visits from Mrs Honeyman, Mrs Mason and Mr Day

Bedtimes were of course interesting and many of our P7s have learned that Mrs Laidler is nocturnal and never leaves her bedtime guard post!

It was also lovely to celebrate a birthday.

Special thanks to Diane the caterering person who kept us well fed.

Well done everybody and thank you Fordell Firs! It was a great end of P7!

Upper School Sports Day 2023

2 weeks ago it was sports day. As always it was organised by Mr D, with help from our active schools co-ordinate Ricky.

Our upper school went second and split into country teams to try lots of stations with sports from football to Javelin. The sack race station was particular fun.

It all finished off with running races, Tug of War contests and ice lollies for all.

Winners’ medals and the winning country will be presented at Mr D’s sports ceremony next week.
