World Book Day 2022 P3

Our theme for World Book Day this year was ‘Equality.’

Primary P3 explored a wide range of new books centred around the theme of Equalities. In pairs, they carried out some shared reading.  The children really enjoyed being read a story by their friend 🙂

P2 Roots of Empathy News

P2 Miss Low’s class have completed their Roots of Empathy programme with instructor Mrs Harris-Toner.

Each week the children enjoyed getting to know Baby Mila and seeing how she was changing and growing.

We connected with our Roots of Empathy family through wonderful photos, videos and news of Baby Mila sent by her mum Caroline

The lessons gave the children an opportunity to share their feelings and experiences. The children’s especially enjoyed the art activities and thinking of their wishes for Baby Mila as she grows up.

Last week the children were delighted to receive their well deserved certificates.

WORLD BOOK DAY

Primary 4b visited Fountainbridge Library for World Book Day, Thursday 3, March.  Mo, the librarian, showed us where the children’s books were and told us how we could join the library and borrow up to 12 books at a time.  Then, Rupert, a storyteller, told us two stories about cake!  Yum, yum – it made us hungry!
