Heart of Midlothian FC is delighted to extend an invitation to all school’s pupils and their families to attend the inaugural Women’s Capital Cup, a new trophy that will be awarded to the winner of Hearts Women vs Hibernian Women’s matches in the Scottish Women’s Premier League.

The first match will be played on Sunday, 10th September 2023 (4:10pm Kick-off) at Tynecastle with the return fixture being played at Easter Road on Sunday, 19th November 2023

Women’s and girls’ football is enjoying significant growth in Scotland and the Clubs are delighted that Baillie Gifford has come on board to sponsor the Women’s Capital Cup for the next few years to ensure that as many families as possible can enjoy this spectacle.

Thanks to Baillie Gifford’s generosity, all tickets for these games which will be held at Tynecastle and Easter Road, will be provided free of charge. Why not take advantage of this great offer and plan a memorable day out for your families.

Hearts and Hibs are, however,  keen to encourage families to attend and will be making tickets available to families via this link: Event Information Screen – Heart of Midlothian eTickets (eticketing.co.uk)

There is no limit to the number you can receive.

With kind regards,

Hearts of Midlothian FC.

First week in P2a

Welcome to all the pupils and parents in P2A! We had a very positive and encouraging start to P2 this week, remembering how to play nicely with each other, reading stories and playing some fun circle time games.

Here are some pictures of us learning and playing in our classroom.

Dalry’s Got Talent 2023

The last few weeks have been exciting at Dalry as each class chose their entry into the grand Dalry’s Got Talent Contest.

Today we held the grand final and an amazing range of acts showed us what they could do.

The standard was amazing and it was a genuinely hard choice for our judging team of Judge Day, Judge Mason, Judge Bennett and head Judge Kelly.

After much deliberation the winner was announced as….. Olivia from P5.

Well done to all who entered, who performed today and to our winner Olivia with some stunning drumming.

Special thanks to Miss MacPherson and Mrs Ewen for their organising skills.

Cup of Kindness 2023

Our cup of kindness recpient in 2023 was……a joint award!

Congratrulations to Chloe and Nadine.

Nadine has been consistently kind throughout her time here. Staff said they could not remember her ever being unkind in 7 years of school. An amazing achievement.

Chloe has always been supportive of her classmates and is a leader in our caring part of the Dalry family! She has also always been an amazing example of our school values since P1.

Well Done and congratulations to Chloe and Nadine!

Jim Douglas Citizenship Award 2023

Created by the family of Jim Douglas, a former Dalry pupil who left Edinburgh to become a leading publisher in Canada, the Jim Douglas award celebrates outstanding contribution to the school from a pupil in P5-7 who has embodied our school values:

Together we are respectful, included, responsible and kind.

The 2023 recipient was a joint award to Hoda and Eilish. In the presentation Mrs Honeyman particularly underlined how Hoda has rapidly become a leader in P6 after starting with us later in her school career. Eilish was commended for her massive engagement in P6 and the school.

Well done Hoda and Eilish!
