P2b Latest Roots of Empathy News

We enjoyed another lovely visit from Zeinab and baby Ammar. In the previous lesson we had been discussing how people are the same in many ways, but there are also many ways we are different. Also P2b discovered we all have different temperament traits, and every family is unique. The children wrote letters and created drawings for Ammar telling him what is important to them. We caught up on all his news and the children enjoyed how he loved seeing Ammar being more active and giggling.

Zeinab told us Ammar loves his food and she can’t find many foods he doesn’t like. At the visit Ammar enjoyed a yogurt and found the strawberries not as tasty, but he kept trying them. The children were able to read baby Ammar’s facial cues on how he felt about the food and when he had had enough.

P2 Science Festival Fun!

Primary 2 had a fantastic day out on Monday to the science festival at the City Art Centre. We took part in lots of different activities including digging for dinosaur bones, making instruments at the sound workshop, becoming wild vets, exploring electricity, learning how wind turbines generate energy and enjoyed some free time in the imagination playground. Happy faces all round!
