P4 are focussing on Sudan for International Week. They thoroughly enjoyed making Sudanese Flatbread (Gorraasa) with some of the Sudanese parents. A big Thank you to all the parents who helped and for the wonderful Sudanese lunch they provided for all the staff.
P5 took part in a drama workshop as part of International Week. They had to use drama conventions such as still image to recreate part of a Chinese story that was written to teach people about honesty and integrity. In the story the Chinese Emperor set a competition to choose the next Emperor of China, contestants had to grow a plant from a tiny seed, whoever grew the tallest plant would be the next Emperor. The pupils had to design their own competition and create still images to portray.
P4 have been enjoying Drama classes this week.
P2a have had some great fun at drama and Scots singing recently.
P2a ate a Spanish Breakfast this week as part of international week. The Spanish word for breakfast is desayuno. Thank you to Borja for helping us prepare it.
P2a have been inspired by Picasso in their Spanish themed International week art session.
Lots of children from our Nursery have been heading out on trips to the National Museum of Scotland. In addition to exploring various parts of the Museum (mainly seeing animals) some were brave enough to visit the tyranosaur exhibition following children’s interest in all kinds of animals.
