Primary 7 have been researching inspirational black role models for Black History Month. They worked with a partner to create a poster presentation and presented their findings to the class.

P1 Halloween Week with Autumn Foods
P1 have had a good week back at school and have enjoyed tasting different Autumn foods- pear, apple and some roasted pumpkin!
We had games outside with Ricky on Wednesday. We played different memory games in the classroom and made different patterns and sequenced numbers. What a great week back well done everyone!
P5 Keep the Rhythm
Primary 5 had great fun developing their rhythmic skills in Music. Great coordination and concentration!
P5 Nature Walk
Primary 5 have been learning about John Muir and have been looking at nature in our local area. We went on a nature walk in the rain! We had great fun and enjoyed collecting lots of natural objects.
We found a variety of leaves, sticks, berries and insects.
Autumn Food Tasting in P1/2
In P1/2 We enjoyed sampling some of autumns most popular foods. The children discussed harvest and tasted some lovely red apples, juicy green pears and a delicious pumpkin.
We held a vote and decided that the apples were by far the tastiest!
Free Bus Travel Consultation
The Scottish Government is consulting on Free Bus Travel for Under 19s and intends to launch a new statutory national concessionary travel scheme for young people living in Scotland up to their 19th birthday.
It is anticipated that legislation would be go to the Scottish Parliament in early 2021 and come into effect later in the year.

P7 and Edinburgh College
P7 began their link up with Edinburgh College today.
They took parts in a TEAMS meeting where they interacted with the college lecturers and learned how bridges are built so that they are strong and durable. They then got the chance to build their own bridges and test them over the ‘drop of doom’ to see how much weight they could hold. Four bridges managed to hold 1kg showing that P7 has taken on board what they had been told during the TEAMS meet.
P2 Autumn Symmetry
P2 explored symmetry further this week by going outside to make symmetrical pictures using natural items. Our class mini topic is ‘Autumn,’ so we used conkers, leaves and cones collected by the class to make our creations, just in time before the rain started.
Halloween Lunch
We all enjoyed a spooky Hallowe’en themed lunch on Thursday. Mrs Smith kindly decorated the dining hall and we enjoyed listening to a Hallowe’en playlist as we ate the delicious lunch!
