The pupils chose to start learning about measure by exploring length and height. They problem solved which measuring tool would be best to measure each item. A ruler for smaller objects and a metre stick or measuring tape for longer or taller objects.
We explored height and length in the playground as well as measuring how far the pupils could jump. This was tricky as many pupils could jump further than a metre!
In the classroom the pupils drew around a friend then measured different parts of their body. They had to write the lengths/height in centimetres (CM).
