Open Streets Free Family Event March 1st

Open Streets on street of and around the Royal Mile is happening this Sunday. The Royal Mile will be closed to traffic and all sorts of events and performances will take place.

Edinburgh museums and galleries will offering the following.

At City Art Centre (Moved from the Museum of Childhood)

Sunday 1 March, 11.15am – 1.15pm or 2.15pm – 4.15pm

Colourful Paper Spinners

With lots of games to discover at the museum, come along and make your own paper spinner to give you hours of fun spinning. With artist Norlyne Rosewarne. Free and drop-in, no need to book.

At the Peoples Story Museum

Sunday 1 March, 2pm – 3pm

Gardyloo!

Join our costumed performers Edinburgh Living History for a trip back to the 18th century. Learn about life on the streets of Edinburgh. Hear about the Porteous Riots and Lord Provost Drummond warns people about the dangers of pickpockets, the insanitary conditions and the perils of gardez loo and how much he has given to the city. Free and drop-in, no need to book.
