P7 Have prepared a video guide to logging into teams and through that Onenote (the classes from P4-P7 will be using Onenote alongside Teams as it works better with some iPads)
The children in P1/2 have been planning, building and modifying very elaborate constructions this month.
They love using our large bricks and often add to their designs using the other toys in class and the materials on our tool bench.
Have a look!

P2 have been enjoying learning a variety of new playground games with Ricky, our Active Schools co-ordinator, every Thursday. We have been practising these games during our Tuesday PE lesson and we are going to use these games in the playground during snack and lunch, so that our playtime is safe and fun!

Here are some pictures to show you what P2 have been learning in their Under the Sea topic this term so far!
We made some jiggly jellyfish using paper plates and bubble wrap. We also used bubble wrap to create bumpy prints on starfish and tissue paper to create colourful fish.
We have talked about many ways to stay safe at the beach and made posters to warn others.
Next week, we will be learning about the difference between sharks and whales!

During the lockdown in Term 4 this year, pupils from the then P5 and P5/4 (now P5/6 and P6) at Dalry Primary School (and their families) worked towards their John Muir Discovery Award.
A range of activities was suggested within each week’s learning grid and pupils’ work was sent to teachers on Twitter. We found out about the life of John Muir, we walked sections of the John Muir way, we created Nature Art and we completed activities in the Mission: Explore booklet from the John Muir Trust.
To help conserve our environment we created bird feeders and bug hotels, and we contributed to surveys on pollinators and wildflowers.
Despite the challenges of completing the Award during a lockdown, we were delighted to receive certificates for 31 pupils and parents. Well done to everybody!

We have been focusing on 2D and 3D shape in maths this term. This week we worked with a partner to make a 3D structure using blue tack and lollipop sticks. As you can see from the pictures, we were very successful and managed to make a square based pyramid!

In music with Mrs Ewan, P6 have been learning how to drum! Over the past two weeks they have been learning how to play ‘Jai Ho’featured in the movie Slumdog Millionaire. Miss Curran popped into the lesson for a sneak peek and was not disappointed- they were brilliant!
P3a have been learning about capacity and volume.
They created their own “George’s Marvellous Medicines” while recording the volume of each colour they added to create a brown medicine.

P4 pupils had a fun time at Murieston Park on Wednesday afternoon. To start our RSPB Wild Challenge we looked for signs of autumn and found some wonderful fungi, berries and leaves turning colour amongst many other things.
