Another Dalry year is done.
We had silly days,
Communication struggle days,
showing our outside achievements days,
Upside down days,
Every day, day in and day out, days,
Best in Edinburgh days,
Poetry in motion days,
Everything under control days,
and last days,
but they were all Dalry days.
Mr D. ran one of the most anticipated assemblies of the year today.
The Dalry SPorts day and PE Star awards.
The winning teams from the lower and upper school were first up for their medals.
They were followed by Mr D’s PE Stars. Mr D. chooses his PE stars based on who has shown the most effort and determination in PE rather than simply those with the best results. PBs and PMA are first in Dalry PE.
It’s nearly the summer holidays but there is one more piece of homework. The children will be glad though, to hear that this homework is for Dalry parents and guardians.
The Scottish Government would like to hear your views on your child’s school. Below is the link to the primary school survey.
The closing date is August 12th. Many thanks for taking the time to fill this in and for your support throughout the year. You all help us make the school the success it is.
P5 has been working hard all year towards their Discovery level John Muir Award. Pupils have to discover and explore a wild place. We visited Corstorphine Hill on a number of days during the year. They had to help with a conservation activity and for this the class helped sow a wildflower meadow in Murieston Park which will come into flower in July or August – feel free to visit! Finally the had to share their learning with others. The class has had a lot of fun and led an assembly on 10th June to share what they had done. Well done all!
