The Tech Treehouse

A new P4-7 tech club is starting at Tynecastle Park.

They have sent the below info for you.

Drop-in and grow your projects.

Whether you are into coding, robotics, media design, or anything related to technology, The Tech Treehouse is the best space for you to practice your skills, share projects, and get dedicated support.

Find your path: there is so much to explore in the technology world – we will help you navigate your way through it by recommending courses or projects best for you.

Branch out: meet fellow tech enthusiasts who you could team up with on a project.

No technology experience needed: industry experts will be on hand to support you with your projects and give you behind-the-scenes info about working in technology.

The Tech Treehouse is less of a club, and more of a supportive space for you to drop-in and work on a project involving technology. No problem if you miss a session (even the first) – just continue your project where you left off. We provide equipment, laptops, and resources to get you started.

P1a October Fun

P1A have had another busy few weeks.

The children have enjoyed developing their brick skills and are beginning to work collaboratively to problem solve and find ways to achieve their plans.

Waterproofs were well used this week! Everyone made Kavi and Mugil feel very special on their birthday. We also worked well as a class to make a spiders web and had great fun trying to cross it.

P5/4 Better Den Builders than Bear Grylls

Our challenge this week at forest Schools was to work as a team and build dens to keep us dry.

P5/4 did such a good job that the Primary 4 class used the shelters to eat their lunch in during a particularly heavy downpour before their lesson! Well done to everyone for working well together!

Also a special mention must go to Murtada’s amazing knot skills! All those below are his work. Well done Murtada!

P3 Maths Week #MathsWeekScot

P3 have spent Maths Week Scotland learning about Position and movement.

We have learned new vocabulary to help us give and follow and draw directions.

We then applied this knowledge to program a Beebot robot to move around a grid.

For outdoor learning this week, everyone enjoyed working with their partners to create a ‘treasure hunt,’ whereby we hid 3 objects, then directed our friends to find the ‘treasure.’
