A busy start in P2b
What a busy start to Primary 2! We have been enjoying exploring the different areas in our new classroom. We have all been trying our best to share and include everyone when we are playing.
We have started our seashore topic where we have looked at habitats, lifecycles and food chains. We enjoyed making our own food chains in the shark’s mouth!
In maths, we have been looking at patterns and have had a go at creating our own. We have even enjoyed a taster session of judo and a visit to the school library!
P3 are off to a great start!
P3 really enjoyed the taster Judo session last week, it’s great so many of you have joined the after-school club. We have been making the most of the sunshine this week being outside and the class have been very interested in talking about our new topic, Ancient Egypt.
Digital School Award August 2023
We are absolutely delighted to let you know that we have successfully achieved our Digital Schools Award. We are only one of three primary schools to achieve this in Edinburgh to date. It is a testament to Mrs Laidler, and the staff and pupils at Dalry Primary School who have worked extremely hard to gain recognition in the area of Digital Literacy.

Week 3 in P2A
How did we spend week 3 in P2A?
Building and model making, drawing pictures to show SHANARRI, creating peg board patterns, learning to play snap and playground games, experimenting with Judo, learning to listen and taking part in play with our P7 friends. Phew! It’s been a busy week!

Judo Lessons
P5/6 had great fun at the judo taster session. Judo is a martial art and was founded in 1882. Check out some of these moves!
P3/4 Class Charter
Primary 3/4 have had a great start to this year and have worked together to come up with a fantastic class charter that relates to the school values. Well done everyone!
