Settling into P1
Settling into P1– The children in P1 have been settling in well to their new classroom and making good use of the play opportunities. Here are some of their comments- ‘I love to play,’ Lena. ‘I was painting with my friend Sam,’ Fareeha. ‘I like to share the train tracks and make buildings,’ Arav. ‘I like to tidy up!’ Haasini.

Golden Tickets to Dynamic Earth
Dalry Primary is happy to announce that we have been selected as a Dynamic Earth Golden ticket school for this academic year.
This means the school and nursery will be able to take free admission on trips for all of our pupils as well as subsidised travel and free learning workshops.
We are extremely excited by this amazing opportunity.

Mrs Honeyman’s Tea Party
One of Mrs Honeyman’s favourite parts of her job is having a tea party every Friday with the chosen ‘Pupil of the Week’ from each class. This week the children were chosen by their teachers and peers for good listening, deep thinking, confident speaking, being a good friend to newly arrived pupils, improvements in reading, being responsible and overcoming their fear of water at the swimming pool.
Doors Open Day
The weekend of September 28th is Doors Open Day across Edinburgh.
Doors open is an amazing event sponsored by the Cockburn Association where buildings normally closed to the public throw open their doors. Many also put on family friendly activities.

One of the best family activities to be had in Edinburgh – Get insdide the bus garage and take a ride through the bus wash, sit in the drivers seats and ride vintage buses from Haymarket for just a normal bus fare. This year they are going big for the centenary of Lothian Buses. On Sunday there will even be a bus parade. Details here.
