Clan System

Here at Dalry all of our pupils and staff not only belong to Clan Dalry but on arriving at our school they are made welcome in to one of our school clans,

Alba, Caledonia, Dalriada and Scotia.

Each clan has a Clan Chief, Clan Depute, colour and mascot.

Clan points are awarded to pupils who keep to their Class Charter rules, who are polite, tolerant, courteous, and show respect for others and their property. Every pupil can collect clan points on a weekly basis.
Our Clan Chiefs and Deputes have an important role within school. They promote and encourage good behaviour across all aspects of school. They will be given responsibility during the year to develop their leadership skills by leading events.

Clan points are announced weekly at assembly, both for the previous week and a running total. Each term the winning clan is rewarded with a treat.
The treat will take place on the Thursday before the end of term.
