The whole school enjoyed a very special Scots assembly led by ‘
The Sorries’ to mark our annual Scots focus week. Our children from nursery to P7 performed a variety of Scots songs and poems, and we all loved the live music performance from ‘The Sorries’.
P4 and P5/4 also enjoyed a bodrum drum workshop after the assembly was over with Douglas and Martin.

This week students from P5-7 went to Tynecastle for the Scottish Opera’s amazing Dragon of the Western Sea project.
They dressed in fabulous costumes, sang brilliantly and performed fantastically.
Well done to all who took part.
A singalong songbook for the project is available
On the Scottish Opera Website for the children to keep singing the songs if they wish.
Tynecastle High School are hosting a safer internet evening for parents on 6th February.

Tynecastle High School will be hosting a series of cake and coffee conversations for parents to find out all about high school in an informal setting.
The P7’s welcomed parents into their classroom to demonstrate home learning activities to support literacy and numeracy.
These resources and activities will be available to all the P7’s to borrow and take home. We hope the P7’s will have fun learning with, and challenging, their family members.
The P7’s will take responsibility for the borrowing service in each of their classrooms.
The active schools programme is now open to book for the next term.
Please note that your child who is currently enroled for this term must be renewed for next term in order to continue.
Please see the attached leaflet for more information.
