Mr D. ran one of the most anticipated assemblies of the year today.
The Dalry SPorts day and PE Star awards.
The winning teams from the lower and upper school were first up for their medals.
They were followed by Mr D’s PE Stars. Mr D. chooses his PE stars based on who has shown the most effort and determination in PE rather than simply those with the best results. PBs and PMA are first in Dalry PE.
P4 & P4/3 are going to have a book & bake sale as part of their ‘running a business enterprise’ & ‘Make a Difference’ topic. The plan is to have it on the morning of Wednesday 26th June in P4 & P4/3’s classroom. (One room will sell books and the other room will sell the cakes.) We are hoping to raise money for 2 local charities, Gorgie Farm& Gorgie Food Bank.
If you would like your child to buy cake or books do send some cash in on the 26th.
Week 1- Back to the forest for some and a new adventure for others. The pupils had a great time getting to know their surroundings and making pictures on the forest floor.
Week 2- Lots of bug hunters finding different creepy crawlies in the forest today. Well done to everyone working well in their teams to make brilliant shelters.
Week 3- Not the best weather but never mind, hot chocolate in out shelter makes everything better!
Week 4- We used a bow saw today to cut ‘wookies’ (wood cookies)
Week 5- Don’t get stuck in the spider’s web or you might get caught! P4/3 had to use their balance and ninja moves to get across our giant spider’s web. We were all impressed by the flames our fire had and very happy to toast a marshmallow or two when they died down.
