P1/2 Nativity Info

The P1/2 nativity is on Tuesday 12th December at 2pm.

Each child has two tickets for the show. Parents/carers should bring these with them on the day and be sure to be on time as we need to start promptly.

Due to legal reasons it is not permissable to take any photos or videos during the show.

We Hope you enjoy the show!

Be Resilient Unit 2 – Keep Connected

This term’s Be Resilient unit launches this week and is called “Keep Connected”.

Our launch assembly took place yesterday and a leaflet will be sent home by this week to give you more information on the topic.

There is also a digital copy of the Keep Connected Parent Carer Leaflet on this link.

Once again there will be a family (homework) task that we would ask you to support your child/children with.  Towards the end of the term the children will be invited to share the products of these family tasks at our Sharing Assembly, to celebrate, inform and inspire the other pupils.

Playground Loose Parts Appeal

We are collecting materials for loose parts play in our playground.  Loose parts are materials that can be moved, carried, combined, redesigned, lined up, and taken apart and put back together in multiple ways. The children play with these materials and it allows children to be creative, cooperative and have lots of different experiences.

We are looking for donations of the following materials-

Bottle tops (in a plastic bag), ropes, empty clean tubs and tins, wheels, pieces of pipe, ball pit balls, pots and pans, planks of wood, stumps of wood.

Please donate any of these things if you have them at home and no longer use them. There will be 2 clean green wheelie bins outside the main entrance and any donations can be put in these bins.  Loose parts is about using materials that are available to us. We are also planning to ask local businesses.

Thank you,

Playground committee

Diwali Celebration

We all had an amazing nursery and P1 Diwali celebration on Tuesday 10th October.

We were treated to a morning of singing, dancing, activities and food which was celebrated by many of our families at Dalry.

Thank you so much to all the families and pupils who performed and helped out.
