Primary 3 celebrated Diwali by making clay Diyas, colouring Rangoli patterns, making Rangoli patterns with chalk in the playground and making Diwali cards for their family.

P2/3 Diwali
Everyone enjoyed celebrating Diwali this week in P2/3! Some of our girls performed a brilliant dance for the class which went down well. We took our learning outdoors and decorated our playground with beautiful Rangoli designs.

P5 Sports Day
P5 had a great time heading to Murieston Park last week for a Sports Day with Mr Devine.
They took on lots of fun events from javelin to running races and enjoyed an ice lolly cool down afterwards.

P3a Sports Day
P3a had a great sports day last week thanks to Mr D.
They threw themselves into lots of different events and had a great time and an ice lolly to cool down afterwards.

P1 Sports Morning
The P1s had a great day on Wednesday taking part in Sports Day with help from Ricky, our Active Schools Co-Ordinator! Everyone had lots of fun, had a go at everything and tried their best. Well done! We got a lovely treat of some ice lollies at the end of the morning too.

P1/2 Sports Morning
We couldn’t have a full school sports day this year but that didn’t stop P1/2 having a great sporty morning with help from Ricky from active schools.

Epic Day out for P7
On the 31st May Primary 7 embarked on an Epic Day out at Bonaly Scout Centre.  It certainly was epic!

The sun shone all day and everyone had a brilliant time.
The class was split into 3 groups and were given the opportunity to experience different activities.
These included climbing using ropes, night vision walking, low rope activities, Â bush craft and hillwalking on the Pentland Hills. We all ate dinner together and this was followed by a camp fire. Needless to say everyone was very tired on Tuesday.

Easter Egg Contest Gallery
The Clan Chiefs are hard at work judging the entries to the Easter Egg contest, which will be announced later today.
We have been overwhelmed by the number and quality of the entries this year, especially given we weren’t able again to have a judging in school thanks to the pandemic. Hopefully next year we can do that again, especially given the amazing work by all entrants this year.
Here is a gallery of our amazing entries.
Happy Easter from Dalry Primary

Scots Week Assembly
Normally on this Monday of the year we would be starting Scots week, learning about Scottish culture and language and having a brilliant Scots assembly with The Sorries.
Well The Sorries surprised us today by sending a brilliant video assembly for us.
The link is below. It is one of the highlights of our school year but not normally one our parents and carers get to share so why not watch this over your lunch or after the working day with your whole family to share the fun.
Thank you to The Sorries!
