We have two great achievements by members of the Dalry Primary chess club to report.
Rishon has won The 8+ championship at Edinburgh Chess Academy.
Alden in P2 has won in the Junior 5 Scotland.
Amazing achievements boys and thanks for bringing in your trophies to show us.
Our chess sessions awards were given out at Leavers assembly this week with recognition of contributions to great results at the events our team attends and great chess played in our lunchtime and masterclass club tournaments.
The overall Joint winners this year were Fabio and Ade.
Congratulations to them and all the prize winners.

We hope for an even better year next year and Mrs Honeyman challenged the girls of Dalry to try and be sure we don’t only have boys in the winners next year. So come and try chess and show the boys a check mate girls.
Dalry Primary School first team won Best P6/7 Intermediate Level Team at the Lothian Junior Chess Team Tournament on the 4th of November.
Team members were Adni (P7),Ashil (P6), Adam (P7) and Fabio (P7).
Dalry Primary entered a P5 and under Team for the first time they did really well and enjoyed their first tournament.
Earlier in the year two Dalry pupils, Ilamaran and Rishon received medals for winning matches at the October chess taster sessions.
