We have been learning about composting with Angela from Changeworks.
We filled bottles with layers of ‘wet’ ingredients, such as left over fruit and vegetables, and dry ingredients including old newspaper and dry grass
These will break down to make lively compost for our garden.
Our pre-school children have been enjoying visits to Primary 1 as one of the transition activities which helps to prepare them for moving on to school in August.
If you would like to see more of what school life is like in P1 have a look at the P1a and P1b web pages.
Primary 7 recently took part in a Royal Bank of Scotland Money Sense Workshop.
They learnt how to organise and budget for a party. This was followed by a short presentation to their classmates describing the type of party they had planned, a breakdown of the costs and if there were any cheaper alternatives.
Maybe they’ll be able to plan their next birthday parties…
The nursery had a great time during creativity week before Easter.
We had fun trying out weaving,
going to an art gallery,
learning to dance the cha-cha and other dances,
and having mehndi designs painted onto our hands.
P7 had a great creativity week.
They took part in a range of dance classes,
and supported P2 with digital creativity.
During creativity week P6b took part in all sorts of creative activities.
As well as a whole range of dance classes P6b tried weaving,
and produced some fantastic art showing us the range of architecture that would have been present in a Scottish clan village.
